Layout for CSI #156 Dinner in Boat Quay

I've joined in with CSI #156 today.

I created the background with mists using a mask I made with my glue gun.
Evidence is:
text print (on alphas, hard to see), cursive font,
leaves, flowers, mixed media background and triangles
Testimony, I used a journalling stamp spot.

Here's my layout.

CUCC39 - Create a layout that tells a story

Our Night Out for CUCC39.

For those of you who don't know, I have stepped down from the Soul Scrappers' Design Team. I was on it for two years creating the Cooking Up Creations challenge. Shazza has taken over my next two challenges and she is currently looking for someone from the Soul site to take my place.

Anyhoo, I had created this layout for it so I entered it.

We found a really fabulous cafe in Singapore which had 600 board games you could play and a set menu dinner, all for a set low price.  It was just perfect for a family night out walking distance from our Hotel.

Zoo layout for Scrapbook challenges

Today I've created a page for Scrapbook Challenges Sketch #428.

Here is my layout.

Here is the sketch. I flipped my layout because of the photos. I wanted the people looking into the page, not off the edge of it.

I've used mostly Basic Grey's Capture collection.

Rose Thank You card

ARTastic has a colour challenge this month featuring this image by Josh Miels. Beautiful, isn't it.

I was drawn to the lovely rose.  I've  used an embossing folder on pink cardstock that features gorgeous roses like the one in the image. I have added all the other colours in some way.

CSI case file 154 - Singapore

Here is the cover page for the album I'm currently working on. It's for our Singapore holiday from 2013. I spent a lot of time yesterday organising this album so I plan to work mostly on it for the next month or two until it is completed. That's the plan anyway.

I've used the current case file at CSI to create my page. I've used all of the colours. Normally I would have included some blue due to the picture.
My evidence is polka dots, globe and metal.
My testimony is I've used different  letters/fonts throughout the page and the word go.

Thanks for looking.

Wedding scrapbook layout

My wonderful sister-in-law married her love, Terry, in a gorgeous ceremony at Sovereign Hill. They had a Reception dinner in the Hotel there and I took a photo, which I have scrapped last night.

I'm entering it into 2 challenges.

1. Archiscraps where the challenge is vintage and flourishes. My flourishes are the FWAB pearl ones in a rose colour. The vintage is the style and the location.

2, Another-freaking-scrappy-challenge where anything goes. This is a new challenge blog for me, run by the lovely and talented Anne Pennington.

Here is my layout.

Card and envelope - pink and grey

I got a new toy today. It's a WRMK's envelope punch board. I love it.

I made a card and envelope for a challenge at Less is More today. It's their 4th birthday. The challenge is to make a clean and simple card using pink and grey.

I made an envelope to go with it with my new punch board. How could I not?

Masculine birthday card

BIRTHDAY CARD

I quite enjoy making masculine birthday cards.  This one is for my hubby who turns 51 on Thursday. I used the sketch from Feeling Sketchy and the colour scheme with lines from Papercrafter's Corner. The colours are awesome for a guy and the white adds a brightness that is needed. Layering is always good.

I've entered this card in:

Seize the birthday challenge where anything goes as long as it's a birthday theme.
Feeling Sketchy card sketch #118. Here is the sketch:
Sketch #114
and Papercrafter's Corner Magazine Monday Week 85. Here is the cover:
Papercrafting Challenge: Magazine Mondays - Week 85 Inspiration Piece (image)
I've gone with the colours of red, grey, blue and white and added lines.

Under The Sea card

Western Australian beaches are some of the World's most beautiful. I went to the the Beach just this week and two weeks ago I visited the Melbourne Sea Life Aquarium. These were the influences for my card, along with the fact that my son was going to a girl's 18th birthday which was themed "Under the Sea". So, he gave this card to her. Hope she liked it.

Over at Unstampabelles this month you need to create a card using the following :

National Symbols - what country are you from? Incorporate a national symbol from your country into your work.

In Australia it could be the kangaroo or the emu, but there are other animals or plants or places that are iconic for Australia.

The twist is to use the colours of your country's flag. Here is Australia's flag.

Here is my card.

I've used my Creative Memories circle and wavy cutting systems to create the circles and waves on the front of the card. The back is a regular rectangle shape. I've added stickers and and sequins to complete it.

Head over to Unstampabelles to join in.
